Frequently Asked Questions

No, our websites are custom built, which means we'll also take care of all of your updates for you. To make an update, simply contact the web services team at webservices@angus.org.
Website design and development with proofs and corrections typically takes 6-8 weeks to complete. The process can go quicker if you have a general idea about what you want, design assets, references, and content for the website.
No, we do not bill a monthly fee. We bill for website updates as they are requested. We also have an annual hosting cost of $360.

This depends on the ad type purchased. Facebook retargeting ads will be shown on both Facebook and Instagram in numerous placements, while Google retargeting ads are shown on the over two million websites within the Google Display Network (but only on sites that our past Angus.org website visitors are viewing). Ads on Angus.org can be purchased by the page or placement you wish to be on.

We will work with you to determine the best amount of time for your ads to run. Once decided, we will program the ads to evenly distribute out the impressions (views) purchased over that time period.

To reach a verified audience of people actively involved in Angus genetics and cattle, you can only get that through Angus Media. We recommend you also post your ads to your personal or farm page, but that will be limited to your friends or page followers. So, to increase exposure and touchpoints with customers and potential customers, we suggest running retargeting with Angus Media, too. We also provide a detailed analytics report on the performance of your ads.
Digital advertising is billed in two ways. The first way is by item or day, if you purchase an e-blast or podcast ad, it’s billed by the frequency purchased. Homepage banner ads and featured sale books are billed by the number of days the ad is shown.

The second way is by CPM (Cost Per Thousand). CPM refers to what an advertiser pays for 1,000 impressions of an advertisement, this is how our retargeting ads, and some website banner ads are billed.

Your final bill can be emailed or mailed directly to you, just let us know your preference. If you have any questions on billing reach out to digitalmarketing@angus.org, we would be happy to explain more!
Yes, our team can make sure your branding matches your other materials—whether they’ve been created with the Angus Media team or an outside graphic artist. If you have a design you already like, we can help reinforce it.
Pricing ranges from $130 down to $60 per page depending on how many pages the sale book has. The page count includes the four cover pages.
We offer co-op listings in the Angus Journal ($630/year) and seedstock listings in the Angus Beef Bulletin ($540/year) published five times per year. Both the co-op and seedstock listings are separated by state. These are both year-long resources that can be updated as needed and are a great way to build your brand recognition!
We offer bi-fold inserts and postcard inserts that are printed on heavier paper and are eye-catching while flipping through the publications. These can also be torn out to be more evergreen.
The early bird gets the worm around here! If you get your ad (built by an outside artist) or ad materials (build by the advertising team) sent by the first of the month prior to the issue for the Angus Journal, you can get 10 percent off the base price of your ad. The Beef Bulletin discount deadlines can be found here. We also offer volume discounts if multiple reservations are made at once, including co-op and seedstock listings.
The production fee includes posting on Angus.org, using QR codes, supplement pages added online, a Global Search feature, creating watchlists and set reminders, incorporating videos, receiving sale book requests directly, adding top ranks in sentence or column form, mailing list criteria search, access to Angus℠ assets, user-friendly interface, templates and layouts, and a simplified proofreading process.
The price per book goes down as the quantity goes up.
We do not mark up our printer and offer very competitive pricing due to our volume and long-standing relationship with printers across the U.S.
You may use as many pictures as you like. It will not affect the cost of production or printing.
The only discounts offered are through entering your sale book in Pasture To Publish. Not utilizing everything included in the production fee does not amount to a discount.
