MEMBERSHIP TYPES

Lifetime Memberships are issued in the name of a single individual, or a farm or ranch tied to a single individual. This membership is not meant for partnerships and cannot be transferred. 

Price: One-time fee of $1,500 or three-annual payments of $500 

Members can subscribe to the Angus Journal for $50 per year.

Regular Memberships can be issued in the name of an individual, business, or trust. 

Price: Annual fee of $80. 

Members can subscribe to the Angus Journal for $50 per year which can be paid with the membership fee.

Junior Membership is available to individuals under the age of 21. Junior members will be eligible to participate in National Junior Angus Association events and activities. 

Price: Annual fee of $20.

Members can subscribe to the Angus Journal for $50 per year which can be paid with the membership fee.

Offered to an individual, business, or trust that resides outside the United States or Canada but would like to register Angus cattle in the U.S.

Price: Annual fee of $80.

Members can subscribe to the Angus Journal. Foreign subscriptions are $125 USD per year.

Breeders who are not already Association members will receive an affiliate member number when registered cattle are transferred into their name. Future transfers will be attached to the same affiliate number. No application is required.

MEMBERSHIP FAQs

Your membership type is based on three factors: age, business type and location. 

Age

Youth under the age of 21 should apply as a junior member to take advantage of the opportunities offered through the National Junior Angus Association.

Business Type

All other memberships are based on the structure of your ranch. Most breeders will fit best in a regular membership. It offers the ability to apply as an individual, business, partnership or trust and can include multiple authorized signers.  

If you are an individual, you can take advantage of the lifetime membership and pay a one-time fee. 

Location

The Non-Resident Membership is designed for those individuals or businesses with herds located outside the United States who would like to register cattle with the American Angus Association. 

Becoming an American Angus Association member opens a network of connections and tools to help you meet your production goals.

We also recognize that the cattle business is a people business. Our staff is here to serve you and works diligently to support your producer needs, answer your questions and create opportunities for you to engage with fellow breeders.

Vote

Members can also take part in shaping the future of the breed. Eligible active members can nominate, vote for, or run as a delegate to the annual convention.

Once the membership application is received in the office, we strive for a turnaround time of two business days. Once membership is approved, you will receive a new member packet in the mail to help you get started.

You must be an active member of the American Angus Association to register cattle. 

Once the registration application is received in the office, we strive for a turnaround time of two business days. The animal will be available in your AAA Login account the morning after the registration is entered. 

Registration fees vary depending on the age of the animal and other factors.

Yes, our customer service team is available by phone, email or through the AAA Login message center. Team members respond to messages or can be reached by phone Monday through Friday from 8 am CT to 4:30 pm CT to answer your questions and help you conduct Association business.
