AMERICAN ANGUS ASSOCIATION - THE BUSINESS BREED

AUXILIARY NOTES

A Plan of Action

As I sit down to write this article, I have to admit that I am not sure how I am going to accomplish all of the items on my list of things to do this week.

March 26, 2025

As women, we sometimes feel that we have to take care of everything and everyone around us; and that to some extent, our success as a wife and mother depends on the items on that list being checked off successfully.

The path to accomplishing our lists is much easier when we have a plan. “Blueprint,” as defined by Merriam-Webster, is a detailed plan of action.

As I am unpacking my husband’s and my suitcases from back-to-back weekends of shows — Oklahoma City to Denver to Hutchison, Kan., for our Futurity — I am beyond impressed with the ease of which these shows seemingly come off without a hitch. We are blessed to have the American Angus Association designing and updating the blueprints to help create so much success.

When you’re able to put a plan into action, you can make progress toward your goals. The Auxiliary would encourage everyone to share our scholarship information with graduating high school seniors to help attain their goals. We will be awarding $20,000 to 10 of our outstanding male and female seniors this summer in Tulsa, Okla.

Please contact your Auxiliary state president for questions and state deadlines. Our scholarship chair, Emma Powell, is also available to help with any questions you may have.

As we navigate our lives (and to-do lists), it is important to remember to come up with a plan of action, stick to the steps that it will take to accomplish your daily, weekly and monthly goals, and remember to have the drive to succeed.
