Juniors led Angus champions at the 2025 MAJAC

Junior Angus exhibitors led 142 entries at the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Junior Angus Classic (MAJAC) Regional Preview Show.

Junior Angus exhibitors led 142 entries at the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Junior Angus Classic (MAJAC) Regional Preview Show, March 7-9 in Harrisonburg, Va. Brad Bennett, Cookeville, Tenn., evaluated the 62 owned females, 29 bred-and-owned females, 43 steers, four bred-and-owned steers, three bred-and-owned bulls, one cow-calf pair and 48 Angus-based crossbred steers.

Ethan Miller, Gaston, Ind., led the grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Pipe Creek Joker’s Wild 1324 is a February 2024 son of Riverstone Vegas 49H. He first won junior champion.

EGF Divo 4104 won the title of reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Madison Stratton, Appomattox, Va., owns the April 2024 son of PVF Blacklist 7077. He first won reserve junior champion. 

Ethan Miller led the grand champion bred-and-owned female. Pipe Creek Maid 2024 is a February 2024 daughter of SSF On Point 4028. She earlier won junior champion.

Rylee Stratton, Appomattox, Va., showed the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female. EGF Proven Queen 4034 is an April 2024 daughter of Conley No Limit. She first won reserve junior champion.

SCC Phyllis 450 won grand champion owned female after claiming intermediate champion. Hayden Hahn, Rocky Ridge, Md., owns the May 2024 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077.

Kaylie Shelton, Le Roy, Ill., showed the reserve grand champion owned female. Purple Saras Dream M01ET is a February 2024 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838. She first won junior champion – division 2.

EGF Proven Queen 3002 won grand champion cow-calf pair. Madison Stratton owns the February 2023 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077. A January 2025 bull calf sired by Tehama Tahoe B767 completes the winning pair.

Bryce Heath, Keymar, Md., led the grand champion steer. GAF Burns Blacklist 245 is a February 2024 son of PVF Blacklist 1022. 

Grafton Condon, Woodbine, Md., showed the reserve grand champion steer. FDE Stetson 435 is a March 2024 son of STAG Good Times 201 ET. 

Madison Stratton showed the grand champion bred-and-owned steer. EGF Dude 1034 is a January 2024 son of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838. 

Kendall Clark, Bruceton Mills, W.Va., led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned steer. 3C Shine On 510 is a March 2024 son of Beaver Creek Growth Fund 253.
