Angus entries competed for top honors at the 2024 Iowa State Fair Angus Show, August 13 in Des Moines, Iowa. Ed and Amanda Raithel, Falls City, Neb., evaluated the 164 entries, which included 127 females, 30 bulls and seven cow-calf pairs.

SA Rich Spirit 219 claimed grand champion bull honors. Boyd Schroeder, Clarence, Iowa, owns the May 2022 son of Schroeder Legacy 3400. He first claimed senior champion.

            SA Atlantis 6975 was named reserve grand champion bull. Chapman & Wagner Angus, Tipton, Iowa, and Drew Schroeder, Clarence, Iowa, own the January 2022 son of Square B Atlantis 8060 that earlier won reserve senior champion.

            UDE Ellis 3038 captured grand champion female and intermediate champion for Shelby Greiman, Goodell, Iowa. She is a May 2023 daughter of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B.

            Madison Collison, Rockwell City, Iowa, claimed reserve grand champion female. FCF Phyllis 261 is an October 2022 daughter of Silveiras Haras Primal 8525 and first won senior champion.

            Sawyer Claussen, Stockton, Iowa, owns the grand champion cow-calf pair. SCC SFC Phyllis 048 is an April 2020 daughter of SSF On Point 4028. A January 2024 heifer calf sired by PVF Blacklist 7077 completes the winning pair.

            Jacob White, Postville, Iowa, owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. 4WA Lady 85 is a February 2018 daughter of EXAR Classen 1422B. A March 2024 bull calf sired by Colburn Primo 5153 is at side.
